I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
